Welcome to Thrive Therapy! I am Kendra Jeffers, a licensed clinical professional counselor, in Florida, Maryland, and the United Arab Emirates with over 15 years of experience in the field as a professional school counselor, intern, and private practice owner. I am a proud double alumna of Howard University, Washington, DC and I’ve completed some post-graduate clinical studies at Walden University, MN.
My clinical experience has involved working with children, adolescents, and adults with a myriad of mental health issues involving anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD symptomology, divorce, grief and loss, life transitions, parenting skills, self-harming behaviors, and academic achievement concerns just to name a few. I’ve provided counseling not only state-side but overseas while I lived in Abu Dhabi, UAE as an expatriate. I have extensive education and training in Cognitive Behavior, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapies. I find delight in helping others heal holistically through nutrition, education, collaboration, and empowerment.
On a personal note, I am a mom, a wife, and a sibling to many. I know what it is like to have to juggle work and home and while trying to deal with the perils of life. Are you someone who is anxious or depressed? Are you a parent who needs help with behavior management or parenting skills? Are you an individual who is trying to balance living in a new state or country? Are you a couple that allows discord or distrust to be active “members” in your relationship? Your help has arrived! I am here to provide you with a place of safety and compassion as you work through those challenges to ultimately, Thrive!
